Lamar StuCo consists of a leadership class students apply for and take during the school day and a club that all students join for activities outside of school hours. -Works with other organizations in carrying out the IB World School Annual Community Service Project. -Organizes year round donation drive activities with the community outreach focus -Involved in planning and working on events or activities that involve students, staff, and faculty members at Lamar High School.

School & Academic Culture Improvement
-Works closely with other campus organizations to promote environmental & sustainability awareness through earth & conservation related activities on & off campus. -Makes annual recommendations to improve the carbon footprint & environmental impact Lamar has as one of the world’s largest IB campuses. -The Student Council is tasked to lead the student body in advertising, and bringing awareness to the IB Learner Profile, Areas of Interaction, and the MYP & IB DP Continuums & Programmes. The IB Continuums in the MYP & DP Programmes include the following areas: Academic Integrity (ie. zero tolerance for plagiarism, promoting fair use policies), Promoting Foreign Language (advertisements for & working with the promotion of multicultural clubs or activities), Inclusion and Accommodation for those with Special Needs (awareness of and promotion of inclusion not just sensitivity towards those with special needs through activities, events, and programmes that work to include those with Special Needs in the school community),Promotion of Research Skills (activities or events that promote research and inquiry into subjects that effect the student or community beyond what is just taught at school, activities or events that bring awareness on research and citation techniques.) Promotion of the Structural Continuum (Increasing school spirit and awareness for academic activities, clubs and competition in relation to Language A&B, Humanities, The Sciences, Mathematics, The Arts (celebration and promotion of the arts which are so often ignored), Physical Education (all sports celebrated and promoted with equal enthusiasm and Health as a part of physical education which includes awareness of health warnings, healthy habits, & practices), & Technology (campaigns that promote good technology practices i.e.: don’t text and drive, awareness of cyberbullying, etc.
